Helping turn ideas into action and values into practice.
About Me
I get a lot of joy from supporting people in taking their creative ideas from conception to fruition. I have been doing this in one way or another for the past fifteen years in the Bay Area through my roles in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.
As the former Arts Program Officer at the Kenneth Rainin Foundation, I had the privilege of developing grant programs that supported Bay Area artists as well as contributing to initiatives that sought to address the root causes of issues that impact artists’ livelihoods. My approach to grantmaking is deeply informed by frameworks like Trust Based Philanthropy and my experience as a Harmony Initiative Fellow with Justice Funders, which grounds philanthropic practice in equity and social justice principles. I believe in the importance of aligning program goals, design and implementation with core values to ensure that programs serve their intended communities.
As a project manager, I enjoy understanding projects holistically and working collaboratively to move partners towards their collective goals. I am skilled at maintaining a high-level view on core objectives while tracking detailed processes that involve multiple stakeholders and navigating challenges as they arise. Across my work, I center clear communication and empathy to achieve project goals while developing supportive, meaningful relationships.
